Welcome to the St. Michael’s School Parents' Association Page

Overview

The Parent Advisory Council (PAC) at St. Michael’s Secondary School plays a vital role in building a strong partnership between home and school. We work collaboratively with the school community to support the well-being and education of all our children.

In addition to supporting school-wide initiatives, the PAC helps organise and participate in events such as the Talent Show,Sports Day, and Open Day. We also contribute to parent focused activities like the Weekly Book Club, encouraging greater community connection.

We are also proud to collaborate with local organisations including:

  • Finglas Community Learning Hub, which supports Junior and Leaving Cert students
  • Better Finglas, which facilitates the Teen Triple P Programme for families

These partnerships enhance the overall experience for both students and parents in our school community.

Our Parent Advisory Council

The St. Michael’s Parent Advisory Council is made up of a dedicated group of parents and guardians who volunteer their time and energy to support our school community. Our team includes parents from various year groups, bringing a wide range of experience and perspectives to the table.

Our current leadership team includes:

  • Chairperson: Noreen Power
  • Vice Chairperson: Susan Humphries
  • Secretary: Hazel Cullen
  • Treasurer: Ann Rogers

We’re always looking for helping hands! Whether you enjoy organising events or simply want to get involved, your time and support truly make a difference.

If you’re interested in volunteering, please contact our HSCL at 086 025 6131.

Objectives

  • To inform and consult parents on school policy, plans, and activities (note: Parent Advisory Council does not get involved in internal administration matters).
  • To support and promote the Catholic and educational ethos of the school.
  • To encourage parents’ participation in promoting the well-being and interests of the pupils.
  • To ensure all parents and guardians feel welcomed, included, and valued as members of the Parent Advisory Council.
